Five Tips for Squid Fishing Catch Squid!
We often hear hong kong people refer to squid fishing action as “Chok” which refers to the motion of pulling the fishing line up and down while fishing. Although catching squid relies on luck to some extent, the remaining thirty percent depends on the Chok Squid fishing techniques that I will share with you!
- Make the fishing hook shine
After boarding the ship, the captain will distribute fishing tools including fishing lines and octopus hooks to everyone. The hooks have a fluorescent night light position. Before dropping them into the sea, you can use the hook to absorb light from the light position or use a phone flashlight. After absorbing light, there will be a short-term night light effect. Squids like to chase after light, so hooks that have absorbed light are more likely to attract squids!
2. Stand in a place with strong light
In addition to absorbing light with the hooks, you can also choose to go to places on the ship with large lights. Locations with sufficient light sources will also have more squids gathering, increasing the chance of successfully catching squids. Yellow lights usually attract squids more easily than white lights. If the ship does not provide a spotlight, standing in a brighter location on the ship will be more advantageous.
3. Drop the line to a depth of 20 feet
Large squids are usually found at a depth of around 20 feet, while shallow water areas have smaller squids! So remember to drop the line to a depth of about 20 feet! How much is 20 feet? When Louis Koo is 6 feet tall, you need to drop a line that is about 3.5 times the height of Louis Koo into the sea ~
4. Move the fish hook up and down rhythmically
